Surf Life Saving Australia

"At DHL Express we are incredibly passionate about connecting people and improving lives - and we are proud to support Surf Life Saving Australia in doing exactly that for many years to come."

Gary Edstein, CEO / Senior Vice President, DHL Express, Australia and PNG

As a Major National Partner of Surf Life Saving Australia, DHL Express has been helping Surf Lifesavers deliver safer beaches since 2003.

At DHL Express we are proud to share that since the establishment of this almost twenty-year partnership there have been 2.2 million Surf Life Saving members, performing more than 14.4 million preventive actions and 180,000 rescues. In addition to surf lifesaving services, SLSA works to educate children and the greater community on coastal safety awareness, as well as, sustainability-focused initiatives such as the DHL national Tree Planting Program.

Both SLSA and DHL Employees are also committed to protecting our environment through programs like our national tree planting initiative that aims to improve public spaces for local communities along Australia’s coastline. DHL Express organises tree planting events across Australia, supported by Surf Life Saving clubs and in conjunction with organisations such as local councils and conservation groups.

The ‘Discovering Hidden Legends’ campaign aims to raise awareness of the contributions made by Surf Life Saving Australia volunteers

Aiming to remind Australians that everyday, seemingly ordinary members of our community make significant contributions in their roles as volunteer surf lifesavers, ensuring we remain safe from harm at beaches across the country. The campaign centres on a series of videos showcasing the stories of volunteers, with voiceover from former volunteer surf lifesaver and professional surfer, Laura Enever.
